I
believe the Bible,
and I believe in Jesus and God,
but
I don't believe
that the devil really exists.
6
Now there was a day when the sons of God
came to present themselves before the Lord,
and
Satan also came among them.
13
And He was in the wilderness forty days
being tempted by Satan;
command that these stones become bread.”
throw Yourself down
(from the pinnacle of the
temple)
“All
these things will I give You,
if You
fall down and worship me.”
To incited
God against Job,
"to ruin him without cause."
8
... Your adversary, the devil,
prowls about like a roaring lion,
seeking someone to
devour.
keep
the commandments of God
and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
11
in order that no advantage
be taken of us by Satan;
for
we are not ignorant
of his schemes (KJV:
"devices").
44
... was a murderer from the beginning,
and does not stand in the truth,
because there is no truth in him.
...
he is a liar,
and the father of lies.
1 Now the serpent was more crafty
than any beast of the field
which the Lord God had made.
And
he said to the woman,
“Indeed, has God said,
‘You shall not eat
from any tree of the
garden’?”
2
And the woman said to the serpent,
“From the fruit of the trees of the
garden we may eat;
3 but from the fruit of the tree
which is in the middle of the garden,
God
has said,
‘You shall not eat from it or touch
it,
lest you die.’”
4
And the serpent said to the woman,
“You surely shall not die!
5
“For God knows that in the day you eat from it
your eyes will be opened,
and you will be like God,
knowing good and evil.”
9
Then Satan answered the Lord,
“Does Job fear God for nothing?
10
“Hast Thou not made a hedge about him
and his house
and all that he has, on every side?
Thou
hast blessed the work of his hands,
and his possessions have increased in
the land.
11
“But put forth Thy hand now
and touch all that he has;
he will surely curse Thee to Thy face.”
22 ... this sect,
... is spoken against everywhere.”
6
For the mind set on the flesh is death,
but the mind set on the Spirit is life
and peace,
7
because the mind set on the flesh
is hostile toward God;
If
I don't give in to the sins of the world.
7
Do not be deceived,
God is not mocked;
for
whatever a man sows,
this he will also reap.
8
For the one who sows to his own flesh
shall from the flesh reap corruption,
but
the one who sows to the Spirit
shall from the Spirit reap eternal life.
16
But I say, walk
by the Spirit,
and you will not carry out the desire
of the flesh.
19
Now the deeds of the flesh are evident,
which are:
immorality, impurity,
sensuality,
20 idolatry,
sorcery, enmities,
strife, jealousy,
outbursts of anger,
disputes,
dissensions, factions, 21
envying,
drunkenness, carousing,
and things like these,
of
which I forewarn you
just as I have forewarned you
that
those who practice such things
shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
11
Beloved,
I urge you as aliens and strangers
to
abstain from fleshly lusts,
